Numerology – The Study of Numbers and Their Meanings

Numerology is the study of numbers and their meanings. It is based on the belief that the numbers in our names and dates of birth hold important information about who we are and how best to connect with our purpose in life. Much like horoscopes, numerology can reveal personal strengths and weaknesses, as well as offer insight into the world around us.

Numerology traces its roots back to the ancient Greek philosopher Pythagoras, who believed that all things can be reduced to a single digit. The earliest form of numerology was created by using the letters of the alphabet to add up all the possible numbers that could be added from your date of birth, then reducing it again until you reached a single digit number, such as 7 + 3 = 10. This is called your Life Path Number and reveals the key purpose for your life.

Individuals with a Life Path Number of 2 are known as the “helpers” in numerology. They are naturally concerned with the wellbeing of others, especially their friends and family, making them devoted and caring individuals. They are also imaginative, intuitive, and sensitive to the vibrations around them.

Individuals with a Life Path Number of 6 are the “moms” in numerology. Compassionate and nurturing, Sixes love to be the center of attention, whether it’s at work or in their own homes. At their best, Sixes are devoted and supportive, but at their worst they can be overbearing and meddlesome.
